We keep therapy simple so parents can carry over interventions and be a part of their child’s solution.

Cool Beans Therapy Clubhouse (CBTC) has a mission to help children of all ages learn how to be as successful and independent as they can be in their home and school environments. Children should be able to learn without distractions and without having to worry about how they’re going to do something or if they’re going to get into trouble. They should be able to make friends and socialize with peers without worrying about if they’re too close or too loud. Children should be able to finish their schoolwork, without endless frustration and difficulty writing, and still have time to go outside and play at the end of the night.

Cool Beans Therapy Clubhouse has a main goal of improving fine and gross motor skills, sensory skills, handwriting, motor planning, coordination, social skills, and self-esteem in children as well as providing education to parents, caregivers, and educators to bring awareness for the needs, behaviors, and accommodations of young children and students.

There are extremely long waitlists to receive Occupational Therapy services in Lake Norman and surrounding areas, but Cool Beans Therapy Clubhouse recognizes that children should not have to wait for services. Early intervention is how you get the most out of therapy to improve necessary skills and decrease poor habits from forming but waiting months for therapy services will only make the end goal that much more unattainable.

At Cool Beans Therapy Clubhouse, we know how difficult it can be to take your child to a therapy service and not be able to follow through with anything you have learned in a therapy session because the equipment is too big, bulky, expensive, or just not feasible in the home. It can be very inspiring to walk into a therapy gym and see all the neat gadgets and ball pits, but when you get home you probably will not have those items to work with your child. We believe for your child to succeed in therapy and in their school and home environments, they need to be able to work on their skills for more than 30-60 minutes a week. Parent involvement is key! This isn’t homework for you to struggle with for hours at home. This should be done in everyday tasks and fun activities that you can do with your child so you can see and enjoy their progress.

Cool Beans Therapy Clubhouse is making your child a priority. Your child deserves intervention now. We want parents and educators and students to be informed, educated, and aware of difficulties and differences in learning they may have. We want you to know how to help your child be as independent as possible by not only improving skills but also by knowing what accommodations might work best for your child. At CBTC, we try to keep all therapy simple so you can carry over interventions and be a part of your child’s solutions. We believe if you are informed, want to make things fun, and are willing to work a little you can see positive changes that will make everyone happier and more successful.
